Former Seychelles Ambassador endorses St. Ange for post of Secretary General
Peter Sinon, former Seychelles Ambassador & Minister and former Executive Director of the African Development Bank for Africa’s Eastern Constituency says ” I wholeheartedly endorse Alain St.Ange for the post of Secretary General of the UNWTO”
Peter Sinon is the first & former resident Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles to the Republic of South Africa and the SADC member countries and former Executive Director of the African Development Bank representing Africa’s eastern constituency between 2007 and 2010.
Between 2007 and 2019 Peter Sinon was Executive Director on the Board of the African Development Bank and former Minister in the Government of Seychelles Cabinet of Ministers between 2011 and 2015, endorses his former cabinet colleague and long time friend Alain St.Ange for the post of the UNWTO Secretary General.
Alain, the unifier and a product of the Seychelles’ mixing melting pot of colors and cultures, is the right personality to assume such an important post that continues to be the bread and butter of many economies around the globe.
In a world that has unfortunately in some prominent destinations to build walls rather than bridges to encourage freer flows of movements and more vibrant tourism, it is essential for the UNWTO to have a personality that can convincingly convey and convince the different leaders and decision makers the virtues of the tourist industry and it’s essential role in the creation of a world that is more integrated, more compassionate towards different peoples & cultures, promoting togetherness, harmony and sustained peace.
It is my deep appreciation for the ‘content of the character’ of the man, and what it means to the future growth of the world tourism industry in all its dimensions that I wholeheartedly endorse Alain St.Ange for the post of Secretary General of the UNWTO.
Alain St.Ange welcomed the endorsement received from Peter Sinon saying that their is a man who has remained true to himself respecting everyone immaterial of political affiliation, religious beliefs colour of the skin, ethnic background and more. “His track record in Seychelles and at the African Development Bank speaks for itself. I am so proud to be counted as one of his friends and really appreciate his endorsement for the post of Secretary General of the UNWTO” said St.Ange
