Africa: Tourism Commissioner Proffers Solutions To Accommodation Problems During Calabar Carnival
Over the years the influx of visitors and tourist into Cross River State during the Yuletide to experience varieties of events (Carnival Calabar, Bikers Parade, Cultural Festival, Barbecue party, etc), has continued to raise concerns when it comes to access to accommodation.
As it has been one of the growing challenges in the State season in and out, the office of the Honorable Commissioner, for Culture and Tourism Development, Has engaged in a win win partnership with MUSTER for an accommodation solution during the festival season.
Muster is an international firm that proffers accommodation management services.
The partnership with Muster is simply people driven, where families with spare rooms will trade such space for visitors and make money as well as meet people.
This is an accommodation solution initiative which has in place elements that will regulate rates, check security risk and promote cultural values.
