Founder and general overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracle (MFM) Ministries Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya is in Trinidad as a guest speaker to perform “prayer exploits” during a two-day crusade.

The Nigerian-born Pentecostal pastor is listed as the featured speaker at both the National Minister’s Conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port-of-Spain as well as the crusade entitled “No More Em¬bar-go” at the Centre of Excellence, Macoya.

The events are being hosted by the local branch and Re¬gional Headquarters under the leadership of Pastor KA Raji, Regional Overseer (RO) for the Caribbean this weekend.

DKO, as Dr Olukoya is affectionately called, was described as, “A man of God with great knowledge, biblical insight, and wisdom about life, what affects us and how we can overcome and defeat the devil and his demonic oppressions which hinders, stagnates, causes illnesses and general frustrations in the lives of many.

“This man of God came from the natural loins of a policeman who was also a pastor at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Nigeria, providing the domestic Christian structure for him with Christian beliefs,” a release stated.

While attending the Methodist Boys’ High School in Lagos, DKO became born again.

Subsequently, he was accepted at the University of Lagos and graduated with a first-class degree in Microbiology.
He was the recorded holder of the highest GPA for over two decades in that discipline.

DKO was later awarded a scholarship and went on to study for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular Genetics at the University of Reading, United Kingdom; earning his PhD in three years.

Upon his return to Nigeria, he became part of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) Yaba, where his reputation as an exceptional geneticist was established.

With over 70 published scientific papers, he has been recognised as an authority in the study of genetics.

An accomplished academic, Dr Olukoya has lectured in genetics, worked as an external examiner for several universities, presented papers at scientific conferences in almost all continents, and continues to contribute to the field of genetics and biotechnology via a collaboration with his wife, Folashade Olukoya.

The Daniel and Fola Biotechnology Foundation is a registered NGO with a mission to empower Nigerian citizens with modern and contemporary laboratory skills in molecular biology and biotechnology.

It was while studying in England at the University of Reading as a PhD candidate, his passion for Jesus Christ intensified. A nationalist at heart, he began to research and study the 1930s history of the first Christian revival in Nigeria led by Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola.
The Apostle founded the first indigenous Holy Ghost filled church in Nigeria.

Dr Olukoya’s own work, Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, in its prayer agenda is very heavily influenced by the work of Apostle Babalola.

Almost 30 years later, the ministry boasts over 1,500 branches and counting in seventy countries on all continents.

Dr Olukoya has authored over three hundred Christain genre books with Prayer Rain being his flagship piece and published in several languages. He has also composed over 70 songs and continues to contribute to the literary world.

Dr Olukoya’s wealth of experience in the multiple facets of life culminated in the establishment of the Mountain Top University in 2015, a private university in Makogi Oba, Ogun State Nigeria.

The University’s Motto: Empower to Excel, conveys the general message of Dr Olukoya to people who are desirous of improving their lives via education.

“One hallmark of his character is that he carries an intense passion for young people and their development spiritually and educationally since they are so inextricably linked,” the release added.
