Africa: Kenya Tourism Federation President Mohammed Hersi welcomes Delegates to SKAL Mombasa 2018

Kenya Tourism Federation President, Mohammed Hersi has welcomed tourists from all over the world to this year’s Skal event.

The President said: “On behalf of Kenya’s Tourism Fraternity, Kenya Tourism Federation and as a former Skal National President and a resident of Mombasa, I would like to wholeheartedly welcome all Skal leagues from all corners of the world to our hometown.

“From UK, SA, Thailand, Ghana, Nigeria, Australia, New Zealand, USA and even Guam and many others we welcome you with both hands in our traditional Kenyan and moreso Mombasa hospitality. In our quest to beautify Mombasa we have Skal colours of white and blue, what a great honour.

We shall endevour to make your time a memorable one. You have always warmly hosted us be it in Cacuun Mexico. Durban South Africa, Monaco, Sydney, Pattaya and many other host cities. This time is for Mombasa Kenya.

On Wednesday night we host you at Fort Jesus a world heritage site for cocktail cum dinner with scintillating sound and light show. On Thursday we shall then host you to a beach party never seen before , next day we sign off with a Presidents Gala Dinner and we hand over the flag to the next host city.

We are also going to have full day conference to network in this world of tourism. Many of you have been selling Kenya without having visited Kenya, well Kenya is the real deal.

Home to Wangari Mathai, Lupita Nyongo, world champions in middle and long distance races like Eliud Kipchoge , Obamas father also called Kenya home and the first mobile money transfer platform Mpesa was born here. Oh yes best flowers, coffee and tea . The list is endless.

Mombasa has it’s own charm. You visit once it becomes your second home.
