News: DHMI, leader of 55 Turkish airports to headline Istanbul Airport Show
DHMI, Turkey’s General Directorate of State Airports Authority, has become a Headline Partner of The New Airport Show Istanbul taking place at the Istanbul Congress Center, 18-20 June 2019.
The DHMI General Manager and Chair, Funda Ocak, will also be a Keynote Speaker alongside the other Headline Partners: Turkish Airlines and İGA, the builder and operator of the new Istanbul Airport mega-hub.
DHMI, a sovereign unit of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, directly operates 49 out of the 55 Turkish airports under its ownership, with the other airports, including the new Istanbul Airport, operated as long-term concessions under DHMI patronage.
Combined traffic at DHMI’s airports flew past the 200 million passenger threshold for the first time in 2018, as continuing double-digit growth took throughput at all 55 airports over 212 million. Turkey had already overtaken France in 2017 to become the fourth-largest air transport power in Europe.
The free-to-visit exhibition, which celebrates the opening of the game-changing Istanbul Airport, is at the epicentre of the show and we expect to recruit some 150+ exhibitors showcasing products, services and concepts to inspire our attendees.
The EXPO will showcase many of the products, services and solutions from the new airport first-hand – ranging from airfield equipment through to the latest terminal equipment, furnishings and processing technologies. You can expect to see and demo a wide variety of new solutions and concepts from suppliers, including established global industry providers, regional specialists and dynamic new startups.
