Aviation: Africa World Airlines wins M.I.C.E. West Africa Airlines Award for Incentives
Africa World Airlines has scooped the M.I.C.E. West Africa Airlines Award for the Category of West African airline most supportive of INCENTIVES in the region.
This award was presented to AWA in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja Nigeria at the Abuja Jabamah on the under the distinguished presence of Otunba Segun Runsewe, DG, Nigeria Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC); Alhaji Idi Hong, former Minister of Tourism Nigeria; Charity Githinji, Managing Director of Tandaza Africa, Tanzania among several other distinguished Very Important Guests.
MICE AWARDS WEST AFRICA is the first MICE Awards ever in West Africa to be given to the Champions of the concept in the Region. MICE is the lowest hanging Tourism fruit for Nigeria and West Africa.

Africa World Airlines was incorporated on November 15, 2010 and received its Air Carrier License (ACL) from GXAA in March 2011 with its 1st flight on the 21st of September 2012.

The airline currently marked 5years anniversary with total number of 6 ERJ 145LR jet fleets and a milestone of achieving one million flown passengers since inception.
Africa World Airlines operates flights to four (4) cities in Ghana namely Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Takoradi and Tamale with regional operations to Lagos five (5) times daily and Abuja twice (2) daily being the highest flights frequencies on the route.
The airlines as part of expansion to seamlessly connect West Africa will commence three (3) times weekly flights to Monrovia –Liberia November 2017.
